Organisers of Isle of Man Cyclefest presented by Isle of Man Bank are delighted to welcome one of the UK’s most highly accomplished and critically acclaimed roots bands. Closing this year’s Cyclefest in fitting style, Jamie Smith’s MABON will wrap up the entertainment on the PokerStars Stage with an exhilarating live set.
MABON are consistently celebrated as one of the UK’s outstanding roots acts. The 5-piece band of virtuoso musicians, including the Isle of Man talents Jamie Smith and Paul Rogers, have spent several years performing throughout the UK, Europe and further afield and are renowned for their blistering live shows.
In a packed touring schedule, MABON have taken their dazzling music to many of the biggest World, Folk and Celtic festivals, picking up a number of individual and group awards along the way. In an ever-expanding CV, the band have played everywhere from WOMAD and WOMEX to those Radio 2 favourites, Celtic Connections and the Cambridge Folk Festival, eating up most of continental Europe and travelling as far as Borneo.

The band has also enjoyed plenty of coverage across BBC Radio, BBC TV and S4C as well as in the national press. Indeed, it was only last year that the band enjoyed a number of top reviews for their impressive album, The Space Between, picked out by The Telegraph as one of the albums of the year.
